The fall 2019 tour of Europe began with a remarkable day and night of recording at facilities made available by the wonderful Pied Nu organization of Le Havre. My idea was to have a studio quality recording of solo material ready to begin selling on the tour and have it be very fresh: the first copies of the original Chad the Champion compact disc indeed went on sale a few weeks later. Now the digital download includes everything recorded that day, the complete concert as well as a series of pieces tracked in the studio during the day. Here is, among other performances, the complete banjo medley of two Hendrix epics I had been working on all year.
