All about MUPPET ON THE WAY:  I got a kick out of a Winston Salem fan telling me this was a favorite in high school.  My daughter Jenny was in middle school when she did the original art work.  The "On the Way" series of cassette titles began with Dinosaur on the Way and also comprised Wombat on the Way and Hot Air Balloon on the way as well as the title most infamous in Calgary, Chicken on the Way.  The "on the way" concept meant these were artifacts of projects in motion. Muppet on the Way featured demo versions of many of the songs eventually recorded for my Vermin of the Blues album, plus some titles that didn't show up until Camper Van Chadbourne including one of my first stabs at the Zappa Medley.  Besides solo live tracks recorded well at the University of Tucson, Muppet was created using fast and sloppy overdubbing on a 4-track cassette borrowed from someone.  In an ongoing attempt to make this music available on the same budget it started out as, downloads of Muppet on the Way are now on my shop site at the sale price of $5.
