Rare 1977 recording from the NY scene and only documentation of some original Chadbourne compositions including The Immortal Dr. Cheeb and Raggity.

The trio of Eugene Chadbourne, electric guitar/Philip Johnston, soprano saxophone and Steve Moses, drums; formed in late June, 1977, practiced five times through that summer, then played one gig consisting of three sets over two nights at Someplace Nice in the East Village, Manhattan. Philip discovered the tape recording, made by John Zorn, many years later. The group never played again. Philip went on to be associated with pianist Joel Forrester and the Microscopic Septet and now lives in Australia. David Moses, among many other accomplishments, became the drummer with Alice Donut.
