To paraphrase Walt Kelly, in Volume 12 we meet the monsters and they are us. Members of our community, such as an elementary arts and crafts instructor who comes to work drunk, pretends to have cancer and for years works scams on the school community, cadging parents to help with car rentals so she can attend “treatments” out of state when what she is really doing is hanging out with a sleazy reggae band. Multiple turntable mixes and edits provide orchestration for this real life nightmare.
